Choose between document infrastructure and a workspace for reviewing extracted data.

Reducto provides document-processing APIs, including separate Parse and Extract endpoints. Its pricing also distinguishes standard extraction from deep extraction. Compare the endpoint that produces your required business fields, rather than treating a parsing request as a complete extraction workflow.

Dynamite Docs is worth evaluating when a person needs to check fields and rows against the original file and export a usable result. Reducto belongs on the shortlist when an engineering team wants to build document processing into its own product. These are different delivery choices; neither establishes an accuracy winner.

Choose by the work you need to finish

The fit judgments below are our assessment of the published capabilities. Validate them with your own documents and required integrations.

Review the result in an existing workspace

Choose Dynamite Docs when the immediate deliverable is a checked table or set of fields. Use the REST API guide if the reviewed output must also reach an application.

Build extraction into your application

Evaluate Reducto when your team wants to own ingestion, schemas and the end-user interface. Ask which endpoint and deployment package cover the workload you intend to ship.

Compare price, usage units and included work

USD pricing as of October 9, 2026. Monthly and annual billing are shown separately. A page, document credit and workflow block are different units. These entry plans do not establish equivalent capacity or total cost.

Dynamite DocsFree 28-day trial; Starter $13/month or $130/year, billed once every 12 months100 monthly PE on Starter; 25 monthly PE during the free trialCSV, JSON, XLSX downloads on Free. Starter adds 500 MB storage, Google integrations, API and webhooks. Provider charges are separate for BYOK.

Check all Dynamite Docs prices and limits. Successfully processed hosted and local no-AI pages use one PE each; failed pages cost zero. Free and Starter own-key runs use the same allowance; Pro and Ultra own-key runs cost zero PE. Monthly caps are hard. Provider and file-size limits still apply.

Plan a migration test before switching

Preserve the output contract your application expects

Write down the existing JSON shape before testing a replacement. Include field types, repeated objects, empty values and the identifier that connects each result to its source. Select a document with the same label appearing in several places, then check that each extracted value belongs to the intended record. A syntactically valid response is only the first acceptance check.

Export the reviewed result into a sandbox copy of the destination. Check that dates, amounts and row ordering retain the meaning your application expects. If the consuming code currently relies on citations or coordinates, test those dependencies explicitly. Keep the existing pipeline available until the replacement can handle the files your users actually submit.

Budget for review and recovery

Choose a clean file, a poor scan and a packet containing several document types. Prepare a checked reference before processing. Measure missing fields, extra rows and correction time separately. Record whether an error starts during ingestion, parsing, extraction or the final import, because the remedy belongs to a different part of the system in each case.

Add one failed request and one duplicate submission to the pilot. Decide who retries the work and where a human reviews an uncertain result. Compare the bill for the complete sequence of operations with the cost of operating the surrounding application. A lower rate for one endpoint does not establish a lower cost for the finished task.

Run a comparison with your own files

  1. 1. Test Parse and Extract separately. Start with one report containing prose and a financial table. Specify both a readable document representation and the exact fields you need. Compare the outputs without assuming that useful Markdown is already a validated business record.
  2. 2. Check references on difficult pages. Include repeated headings, a rotated scan and a table continuing across pages. For every disputed value, find the original evidence. Record the work required to resolve a missing reference or a value attached to the wrong row.
  3. 3. Include your application work. Build the smallest real handoff, including a failed request and a reviewer correction. Count the code and operating work required to make the output usable, alongside the service charge.

Choose the model account for your extraction workflow

Use included hosted processing, connect your own AI provider keys, or run model inference through the Ollama companion on Hobby, Pro and Ultra. Compare provider terms, model quality and the complete data path for the documents you process.

Each successfully processed hosted page costs one PE. Free and Hobby provider-key runs use the monthly PE allowance; Pro and Ultra provider-key runs cost zero PE. Your provider bills your account directly with zero markup.

Local Ollama inference runs on your computer; account and workspace features remain hosted.

  • Hosted: Predictable allowances with hard caps and no surprise overages.
  • Provider key (BYOK): Connect your own AI account for unlimited runs on Pro and Ultra.
  • Local Ollama: Run model inference on your computer. Account and workspace features remain hosted.
  • Custom endpoint: Connect any OpenAI-compatible model endpoint to the same review flow.

Compare hosted, own-key, custom and local AI routes.

Account for the interface you must build

Keep a clear owner for ingestion, review and delivery before replacing an existing pipeline.

  • Dynamite Docs does not provide a drop-in replacement for Reducto response formats or endpoint contracts.
  • Do not compare the Parse rate with an extraction workflow that needs additional operations.
  • Local Ollama inference does not make the entire Dynamite Docs workspace a private deployment.

How we maintain this comparison

Written and maintained by the Dynamite Docs team. We sell one of the products compared here. Fit recommendations are our assessment, not an independent ranking.

We reviewed the linked vendor product and pricing pages on October 9, 2026. Dynamite Docs allowances and capabilities come from our current plan definitions. We have not run a shared head-to-head accuracy, speed or cost benchmark.

Compare extraction, review, intake, delivery, deployment and total cost separately. A feature that we could not confirm remains unconfirmed. Vendor statements describe published capabilities, not results we have reproduced.

Check the quoted plan and implementation scope before purchase. We review these comparisons quarterly, with the next review due January 9, 2027, or earlier after a material product or pricing change.

Questions about reducto alternative

Is Reducto just an OCR service?

Its published offering includes parsing and structured extraction. Evaluate the specific endpoint and output contract instead of reducing the product to text recognition.

Can I migrate Reducto schemas automatically?

There is no automatic Reducto configuration importer in Dynamite Docs. Recreate the required fields and types, then check missing values, nested tables and destination mappings on a reference batch.
