Do I need to create templates or train a model?

What types of documents can it read?

PDFs (single and multi-page), scanned documents, mobile receipt photos, Word files, spreadsheets, and email attachments. Multimodal AI handles skewed scans, angled photos, and complex line-item tables with ease.

What file formats can I upload?

You can upload PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, TIFF, AVIF, Word (.docx/.doc), Excel (.xlsx/.xls), PowerPoint (.pptx/.ppt), and raw email files (.eml). Your library supports PDF, PNG, JPG, WEBP, TIFF, and AVIF.

Can I email invoices directly to my account?

Yes. Pro and Ultra plans include a dedicated inbound email forwarding address. Forward receipts or invoices from your phone or inbox, and the attachments land in your dashboard, extracted and ready for review.

Is there an API or webhooks for automation?

Yes. On Hobby and above, you can use API tokens to submit documents, fetch extracted data, and trigger webhooks whenever an extraction finishes. You can also export directly to Google Sheets.

How much does it cost to process documents?

Hosted processing uses a monthly page allowance. Free and Hobby BYOK processing shares that allowance; Pro and Ultra include unlimited BYOK processing with your own provider key. Provider charges and limits still apply. There are zero automatic overage charges.

What happens when the AI gets a number wrong?

Review confidence scores and compare flagged values with the original document side-by-side. Edit any mistakes directly in the table before exporting. Saved layout patterns remember your column mapping for future files.

Where is my document data processed?

Hosted AI and BYOK runs send document content to the provider you choose. Provider keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Free accounts process files in-memory without persistent cloud storage, and Hobby and above can run 100% offline via the local Ollama companion.

Can I use my own AI provider keys?

Yes. Every plan can connect OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, Groq, Cloudflare, OpenRouter, or any OpenAI-compatible service. BYOK on Free and Hobby shares the monthly PE allowance. BYOK on Pro and Ultra is unlimited. You pay your provider directly with 0% markup from us.

Can I process documents on my local computer?

Yes. Hobby, Pro and Ultra include the Ollama companion for AI processing on your computer. Choose a local model and browser-only file storage to keep sensitive financial files completely on your device without sending bytes to cloud servers.
